Janet gained her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and Environmental Design and Bachelor of Architecture Degrees at the University of Nottingham joining tp bennett shortly afterwards in 1987.

Early projects included offices at Bankside, a corporate hotel and training centre near Paris for a major accountancy firm and projects for Hilton National. Janet was promoted to a Director of the practice in 1998 and led the teams responsible for the conversion of Peninsula Heights a 1960’s office tower on Albert Embankment to luxury apartments, the Grade II listed former Pearl Assurance Headquarters in Holborn into the 5* Renaissance Chancery Court Hotel and the interior design of new restaurants and bars at the Waldorf and Cumberland Hotels.

More recently Janet has managed the team involved in the award winning new build and refurbishment patient accommodation at Trinity Hospice in London accommodation and is currently completing Nido Spitalfields in London, the world’s tallest student residential tower.

Janet has a considerable depth of knowledge across many sectors of the business, from the development of green field sites to the more complex conversion of existing buildings in city centres. She also leads our internal technical group promoting excellence in technical design as part of the overall design process and is involved in the development of our office management systems.
