tp bennett is shortlisted for an AJ Retrofit Award
Our refurbishment of the landmark building, Sea Containers House has been shortlisted for an AJ Retrofit Award in the category of Offices over 2000sqm.
Originally designed in the 1970s, Sea Containers House was dated and structurally restrictive. The building had been given a new breath of life through a comprehensive refurbishment, part conversion of the large existing building and the construction of a new office building.
Significant improvements have been made to the building's external appearance including new facades and multiple entrance points.
The existing office space at Sea Containers House was constrained and sat within a complex hyrid structural frame. The building has been restructured to maximise floor to ceiling heights and provide open, transparent work spaces.
The building has been rebranded and refurbished into a truly mixed-use, fully let building with multiple tenants operating different but complimentary uses.
Winners will be announced at the AJ Retrofit Awards Dinner on 16 September 2015.
